The Girls at the Children's Museum

We took the girls to the children's museum at the main library on Las Vegas Boulevard north of downtown. The museum had a lot of cool interactive exhibits for both girls. They both made masks with feathers. Emma's favorite part of the museum was the wind tunnel that blew up to 78 miles an hour. That was not Kairi's favorite, told by her ponding on the door asking to be let out. She enjoyed the singing room, because she loves being the center of attention. Kairi did really well today considering she had dental surgery yesterday and was still a little loopy.

The Girls at the kid's fair before a UNLV game

We took the girls to the kids fair before the UNLV-Utah game at the arena. Emma and Kairi really enjoyed both the fair and the game, and dad enjoyed taking everyone to the game.

A Weekend With Savannah

Emma's beloved sister Savannah made an all-to-rare appearance this weekend.
Picture 1 is the two of them outside H&M at Town Center. Pic 2 is Savannah carrying Kairi. Pic 3 is the girls outside the UNLV-Air Force football game. I'm not sure but I think Emma is throwing gang signs.

Ren Fair 2008

Emma & Kairi spent Sunday at the annual Ren fair at Sunset Park. They both enjoyed the music, the people in costumes, the belly dance show and the face painting. Kairi's Snow white lasted about 10 seconds before getting totally smudged.

The Fourth with the Gearys

The Knightly clan went out to spend the July 4th holiday at the home of coworker Frank Geary, his beautiful wife Juliet Casey and two sons Conan (27 mos) and Luke (two months). Coworker Lisa Kim Bach was also at the afternoon gathering. After eating grilled steaks and chicken, Emma, Kairi and Conan had great fun running through the sprinlers in the 112 degree heat.
Juliet then made delicious milkshakes and everyone had a wonderful time.

One interesting aside to the day was watching Kairi tussle with Conan over his toys. She also learned a new phrase: "mine."

Emma and here Crew at High School Musical

Dad braved three 5 year olds at the two-hour performance of the musical version of High School Musical. The girls loved it, talked the whole time and giggled continuously. Emma had a great time.

A 14th Birthday

Hard to believe Savannah is the big 14! Father and daughter had a nice dinner at Planet Dailies at Planet Hollywood Resort on the Strip. She loves the turkey club but can never finish half.
Dad got her a hot little black purse with pink skull and cross bones. She also received the book "Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. Yes, she is finally getting into reading. She recently read the "Outsiders," by Susan E. Hinton and enjoyed the movie.
